Cleaning your household cleaners

Do you clean your household cleaners?

What’s a house hold cleaner?

Vacuums, brooms, feather dusters, washing machines, dishwashers, dryers etc.

Here is why you want to clean your household cleaners.

You extend the life of the product, your product is better maintained, your product works more effectively and is obviously cleaner.

How often should we clean our cleaners, this one depends on your manufacturing guidelines/warranties.

My top two house hold cleaners:-

 Dishwasher-

Remove the filter from the dishwasher and remove any scraps and give it a clean.

Sprinkle bicarb over the base of the dishwasher and the internal door as well.

Run a cycle through the dishwasher with a cup of vinegar.

I use this method monthly as I rinse my dishes prior to placing them in the dishwasher.

If you don’t rinse it’s recommended that you should clean your dishwasher weekly.

Washing machine-

Sprinkle bicarb through the drum, pour vinegar in the washing powder/softener section & run a short rinse cycle leave open for 24 hours to allow it to dry and prevent mould from growing within the seals.

Wipe the seals out with a microfibre cloth

happy cleaning!
